Other Projects

 

 I made these for Christmas 2014.  I bought the drawers after seeing them at a reduced price and used coloured papers for the birdboxes and old Christmas Cards for the others.  Stick on numbers completed the drawers.  I really enjoyed making these.

May 2016: My daughter liked the look of this and I said I would knit it for her. After doing a tension square - I decided to knit the smallest size.  I have never knitted anything like this before - and although it looked complicated it was actually quite easy.  At one point though I thought I had done it wrong (the sleeves) but apparently I hadn't!  When finished I was actually very disappointed with it.  I think the fit is odd, and it has knitted up much larger than stated despite the tension check at the start. Would I recommend this - simple answer - no!

June 2016:

I had seen some yarn on the internet that I loved, but although I like the feel of it and the colours - I am slightly disappointed with the finished result.  It has a small metalic thread (bit of bling) that didn't notice when I saw it on line in the pictures.  Would not have bought if I had seen it in a shop - but never mind.  Because the yarn is variagated it has knitted up uneaven - so I think it looks a bit odd. I have taken lots of pictures, but cannot get the colour to look right. The cardigan on the front of the pattern looks lovely - wish I had chosen that colour rather than the rainbow one.
