Well today was very disappointing from a crafting point of view. I took two pieces of fabric from my stash to see which might be the best solution for my block borders. The one on the left looks too grey, but the one on the right, looks as though it might work. Not too fussy, but breaking up the black. As I had a pile of ironing to do, I didn't get around to cutting any trial strips.
After my afternoon swim I called into a local fabric shop on my way home, but didn't see anything better on offer. I was nearly tempted to buy some fabric that caught my eye - but came out empty handed for a change!
I plan to visit Empress Mills in Colne tomorrow as I need to buy some wadding for my twin quilt project. It is more cost effective to buy 3 metres of a really wide one, thus getting two out of the one length. This quilt project was started before April and the tops finished last month - so I really must make the effort to finish them. My 4 patch posy quilt might have to go 'on hold'.
