Yesterday I started on my Christmas cards, and I did a few more today. I normally work out how many I need and do each stage in batches. I had bought the stamps a couple of months ago but yesterday was the first time I tried them out. I had in my head what I planned to do and I am quite pleased with the results - apart from the background.
My white ink pad is on its last legs.....and I didn't want to buy a new one at this stage, so the white is paler than I would have liked. I scanned into the computer the deer stamp, and used this image in my 'Make the Cut' software for my Zing Cutting Machine. I managed to get 8 per A4 sheet. When I haven't used the sofware or machine for a while I usually end up making mistakes, but this time I got a good cut first time. Once cut, I then stamped each one and finished them with silver embossing powder. Many years ago I bought a lot of card in a variety of colours from a paper mill and fortunately I still had quite a lot of red left. My white is getting very low though! Tomorrow I will finish embossing the rest of the deer, and make my inserts with an appropriate seasonal message. Close family will be getting the larger version!
