Quilted tote

I searched the web for a free tote bag pattern that would be big enough to carry a quilt and all necessary bits and pieces that I might need to take to my quilting group.  I found a YouTube video here, with a link to a web site with the material list. This web site has lots of tutorials that look interesting.  The bag is large enough to hold a queen size quilt, large 24" x 18" cutting mat, and various quilting rulers and tools.

I decided to use some plain cream material from some curtains I shortened some time ago, and the final offcuts my daughter gave me from her dining room curtains. (the same material as the place mats I made before Christmas)  The bag is reversible but as I used some horrible material that I had been given years ago I can't see that I will be using that feature!   There is one divided pocket on the outside, and a further two divided pockets on the inside.

I used iron on wadding on the back of the cream material that then cried out for some quilting!  So I pinned the piece to the fabric leaders on my quilting frame and managed to quilt the piece without any problems.
I am thrilled with this bag - I know it will get plenty of use!
