Well there I was, fighting again with a quilt on my Brother Galaxy Sewing machine having taken the quilt off the frame to finish with some straight lines using the walking foot. I began to wish I had attempted to do the straight lines whilst the quilt was on the frame. However, I had dismissed that idea as I knew it would be too difficult not having long rulers or a machine that would vary its stitch length automatically depending on how fast or slow I was going (its OK for those with a long arm machine obviously). Anyway, I sudden shouted out "am I an idiot or what" and hubby shouted back "I don't think you want me to comment on that"! One has to smile! I had totally forgotten that my new Juki machine that I had bought to go with my frame has a walking foot, and of course it has a larger throat area for working with the quilt.

| Plenty of room for bunching up the quilt under the machine arm. |
Hubby very quickly offered to take my Juki machine off my frame and carry it upstairs to my hobby room for me. Five minutes later I was sorted and up and running with the Juki and the Brother machine put to one side for other projects. So now the straight line sewing is a breeze compared to before. It is still going to take me a while to finish though!
