Well it has been quite a long time since I posted. I have been away and therefore have not done any sewing. I have however done some knitting! (see other projects).
I did manage to work on my piano cover and finished quilting the material and cutting the shapes before I went away. The top fabric is quilted onto polar fleece. I had to join the fabric for the top, and then quilted another length to cut out the sides. I was very nervous about cutting the top piece to fit the shape of the piano, but I did it without making any mistakes (phew!!) All I have to do now is finish the hem. I had planned to do a simple quilt binding, but in the end added a strip of fabric that I will use as a hem facing and a simple machined edge.
