The weather today is terrible......so dark and dreary and absolutely impossible to do any craft work without having to have lights on! I haven't had my usual 'buzz' about doing my Christmas cards....so much so that despite having bought a new embossing folder and small snowflake die, my experiments didn't inspire me at all. In the end I went out and bought some! I didn't feel too bad about that as they were some 'Children In Need' Charity cards........and actually not very expensive either which seemed rather odd.
Today though I did have a bit of an inspiration and ended up combining my experimental bits onto a folded piece of card, and adding a front panel cut from the bought cards. The white embossed panels were highlighted with a hint of silver and the die cut snowflakes formed the infill. I also decided to add the inside of the bought card to the inside of 'my' card. (waste not, want not!) Finished result....quite pleasing and I am happy to be able to send a 'unique' hand-made card to close family. Difficult to get a really good photo today as the lighting was so poor and my camera flash seems to wash out the colours a bit.
