I finished all my magenta blocks yesterday - and I have to admit to finding these blocks difficult at first. I had to unpick about 1/3 before I somehow 'found' the knack.....and then the last 30 were a breeze! I will have to go over them all to check the finished size as I know some will need trimming slightly to finish a perfect 3.5" square. I was awaiting my quilting feet for my new machine, and missed having the edge guide that I was used to. My improvisation of a magnetic strip to guide the pieces worked up to a point.
I absolutely love one of my neutral fabrics I bought the other day.......bees.....so appropriate I thought! I have just read Bonnie's blog and note that this is it for the magenta.....NO!!! I just love this colour and still have quite a bit left as I bought more than suggested - so hope there is enough for the binding. Can't wait for clue #3.
