Last Christmas my daughter gave me a Moda Solids Jelly Roll and I teamed it with a Batik Jelly Roll in similar colours. All these HST's have been laid out ready for my OCD to kick in! I am selecting 2 lights and 2 darks and sewing them together to make a block. I first tried to lay them out in lines of colour but I didn't like the effect. So now I have decided to go for an overall random mix. At the bottom right of the above photo you can see some of the blocks I have already made. Once I have sewn all the HST's together I will have a play on my design board to get the best random effect. I am double checking each HST and trimming to 3" before sewing together.
