Mystery Quilt Clue #6

At last.....a colour different than neutral and purple!  Time to use some green - and some more lilac.  So now I could use some of my 2" strips I had cut previously.  Trying to get an even mix of 'random' colours I messed up a couple of times and had to undo and mix them up again.  But I finally finished my 64 hour glass blocks.  Although this is a scrappy quilt my fabrics are quite limited with only about 5 different ones of each colour (apart from the neutrals).  Once I had cut these I found the making up of these quite quick and easy.  I will check accuracy of size later, but the few I checked did finish at the required 3.5".  I am now looking forward to the next clue and can confidently bet that yellow will come into the picture next!

Progress on my 9-patch Blocks
After finishing my Mystery Quilt blocks yesterday I spent some time today doing a few more of my 9-patch blocks and decided to put some on my design wall to see how they looked.  This quilt will be for the queen bed in my spare room, so will need to make it 16 x 16 blocks. (each block will be 6" finished).   Once up, I realised that I will actually have far more blocks than I need.  I will play around with the layout obviously, and post progress.
