Scrappy stars

I am enjoying this project so much. Each block is different ( a light version and a dark version ) made up of scraps of all the material I've used in my sewing projects dating back to the late 1960's!  I've also added some scraps that were from remnants from the sewing club's charity and raffle quilt projects.  I have begun another row (just visible below the ironing board ) because last week I discovered some wonderful cotton scraps in a box that had come from my mother's house.  She is now living round the corner from me, but she has no interest in doing her craft work anymore.  She made some wonderful fabric sewing boxes back in the 90's and the scraps were left from those.
Adding yet another row means I will not get this quilt onto my quilting frame.  I have added the sashing to the top row and it no longer fits on my design wall.  This means I will have to upgrade my frame and buy some longer poles!

This is the reason I find it hard to update my blog.... Oskar has grown somewhat.  Here he is in cute mode - butter wouldn't melt in his mouth mode - his killer mode is another story completely!!
