Christmas Card Challenge - Week 3

Tidying up my craft room I suddenly remembered that I hadn't done my week 3 Christmas Card Challenge....so I quickly selected a card.  I thought this one was quite different as it certainly steers away from your usual Christmas images!  It actually brought back many memories as a child - going to London to see the lights in and around Oxford Street and Regent Street and ending up in the toy shop (Hamleys)  My favourite floor was the one with the dolls houses and miniatures.    I think it was on the top floor but of course could be mistaken.  Another feature to hold my interest was the model railway that ran around one floor near the staircase - bet that isn't there now!  Just to let you know that those visits were  way back in the 1960's!

Anyway, to get back to these cards.  I cut the original card into three strips - keeping the bottom section whole, reducing one strip for the greeting, and the top strip I cut into little gift tag shapes with a card punch.  A bit of glitter thread and some sponge spacers to make the tags and greeting stand out.  Oh and I stamped in silver a background greetings stamp behind the tags.  So another two cards from one old one.  However I will need to do another tomorrow if I am to complete 4 recycled cards a week.
