I finally finished joining all the blocks together. I was able to leave out a few I didn't like as during the year a number of 'bonus' blocks were included - which is just as well. A few of my blocks were terrible (must have been early ones) and I ended up re-doing some until I was satisfied with them. I arranged the blocks on the wall and sewed them together 4 at a time. I was pleased with how they went together. I had to control the randomness of the layout so I hope there aren't any blocks that stand out too much. I am unsure how I will finish this quilt. I need to add some form of border to it so that I can put it on my quilting frame. The final binding will be a navy but I will have to use the lighter one as I have nothing left of the very dark one. The backing will be a white on white print. I am finishing off a couple more tops then I will set up my quilting frame with the extra long poles - and I just hope I will get this very large quilt onto my frame.
