I have made a few more of my blocks trying to use as much scrap as possible. I am going to run out of neutral colours though. This is the problem of keep using neutrals as my background.
Perhaps I should have tried to design or use a block that relies on darks as the background as I do have a lot of blacks and dark greys. So again, I am going to use neutrals from my stash thus depleting what I have without really making a dent in my scraps!
I have decided that I am going to use these to make a long quilted runner for my sun lounger. I will add some ties in strategic places to keep it in place rather than making an actual cover. I find that the synthetic waterproof material of the lounger makes you rather hot and sticky on your back after a while! I will now have to work out how many blocks I will need based on 3 blocks wide with a border all the way round plus the binding of course. The border will have to come from my stash so that will govern the colour chosen as I do not have many long fabric pieces.
