I have finished my chair pad. All the while I was making this I called the blocks flower buds but my daughter, when she saw it commented on the lovely tulips....so tulips they are!
The long pad folds over a sliding neck pillow and I made it so that the pillow can still be re-positioned and kept in place by some ties. I should have made the ties at the bottom longer 😞
I have to admit to losing interest and patience with this project especially when sewing on the binding. Normally I finish the binding by hand but this time decided to sew by machine. I used the 'sew in the ditch' foot but kept making mistakes so that the stitching was showing on the front binding - I think I have never spent so much time unpicking and re-doing seams!! I did very little quilting - just a wavy line around the edge of each block. I don't think I will bother making a pad for the footstool even though I still have lots of scraps.
Now I need to think up another project. I might try a free In The Hoop project as I have never done one of those....
